Regular season ends with another 49ers victory

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – An early deficit was quickly erased as the Charlotte women’s tennis team won four-straight singles matches to pick up its fifth-consecutive win Saturday, as the 49ers closed regular-season play with a 4-1 triumph at Wofford in Spartanburg, South Carolina.

Charlotte (10-9) found itself down 1-0 after doubles play with the Terriers winning the point with decisions at the No. 2 and No. 3 slots.

“We had a great focus in singles after some tough doubles matches,” head coach Michaela Gorman said. “I’m very proud of the way we were able to go out and finish the day, and the regular season, with a win.
