DALLAS – Charlotte senior Laia Raventós closed out another strong regular season by garnering All-Conference USA Second Team accolades, the league announced Monday as part of its postseason awards. She was one of eight players tabbed to the second team.
Raventós joins Alicia Abernathy and Lefty Webster as the only multiple all-league honorees during the program's Conference USA eras (1996-2005; 2014-present) and is the only one of the trio to collect first-team plaudits, as she did in 2017-18.
The Santa Euàlia de Riuprimer, Spain, product and team co-captain started her final collegiate campaign as a Preseason All-Conference USA Team selection and as one of 20 players nationally on the Preseason Nancy Lieberman Award Watch List, presented annually to the country's best point guard.
