CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Junior Laia Raventós put the Charlotte women's basketball team on her back, tallying a career-high 29 points, but the 49ers were unable to cool down a Mercer squad that connected on 56.9 percent of its shots, as the Bears claimed a 90-74 victory Saturday afternoon to close the non-conference slate for both squads.

She finished with 12-of-20 from the floor in addition to 5-of-6 at the foul line for her career-best scoring output. It marks her third time with at least 20 points in a game this year and the fourth in her career, as she surpassed the 22 accumulated at UTEP Feb.
