Raventós Delivers Late to Ice 49ers’ Victory

ASHEVILLE, N.C. — Junior point guard Laia Raventós netted consecutive shot-clock beating shots late in the fourth quarter, helping Charlotte women's basketball hang on for a 51-47 road win at UNC Asheville, the two-time reigning NCAA Tournament representative from the Big South, Saturday afternoon. The 51 points are the fewest scored by the 49ers in a victory during head coach Cara Consuegra's seven seasons and the lowest in a triumph for the program since a 50-45 win over USF Feb. 4, 2001.
