Preseason Gets Underway For Men's Soccer

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The 2016 season is officially underway for the Charlotte men's soccer program as Head Coach Kevin Langan led the team in its first practice of the year Friday morning.

The 49ers, who enter the fall season ranked 22nd in the nation, will hold two-a-day practice sessions as they prepare for their two preseason exhibition games, the first of which is at 7 p.m. next Tuesday, August 16th at Transamerica Field. The team will also head to Elon for an exhibition match on August 20th.

The 49ers achieved an 11-6-3 record during a 2015 campaign in which they earned their fifth consecutive NCAA Tournament berth.
