With the determination to grind out matches and be there for her teammates through good times and bad, Charlotte women's tennis freshman Pierina Imparato, who goes by "Alex" amongst teammates and friends, has learned quickly how to apply her style of tennis to this year's team as they prepare for battle with their opponents. Her leadership style is that of a seasoned veteran who has been through it all on the court, as she played year-round living in Weston, Florida, where she was a four-star recruit before committing to Charlotte.
