CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte and Marshall waited four extra days to play their scheduled Conference USA women's soccer match but late-game heroics from the 49ers' star sophomore Julia Patrum provided the difference in a 1-0 home victory on Senior Day Tuesday at Transamerica Field.

"We're very pleased to get the win," head coach John Cullen said. "It was always going to be difficult today with various circumstances that we had to try and manage and navigate through – the emotion of Senior Day, the fact we got our quarantined players back, and yet, they had virtually no time with the team recently and we had to manage their minutes, and then, we brought a lot of new faces into the starting team today.
