IRVING, Texas - After a perfect 7-0 week including the First Pitch Classic title, Charlotte softball has swept the Conference USA weekly awards as junior Haley Pace was named Player of the Week and junior Haley Wiseman was named Pitcher of the Week, the conference office announced Monday afternoon.
Pace posted a phenomenal .500 batting average and .577 on base percentage, including two home runs, five runs batted in, eight runs scored, five stolen bases and five walks drawn. The Winston-Salem native has now hit safely in all 11 games played by the 49ers this season, leading the team to an 8-3 record overall.
