Charlotte, N.C. - The Charlotte 49ers (1-5) dropped two games to the Gardner-Webb Runnin' Bulldogs (6-1) in a doubleheader on Wednesday, Feb. 12 at Sue M. Daughtridge Stadium.

Gardner-Webb started the first inning by plating a couple of runs. Charlotte cut the lead in half when sophomore Imani Rochelle hit her first career triple to left center in her first at-bat of the game. Sophomore catcher Bailey Vannoy followed with a full-count walk, then picked up her second stolen base of the season. While Vannoy was stealing second, GWU's catcher overthrew second base, allowing Rochelle to score from third.
