CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte's (2-4) offensive attack at the plate and a first-career complete game thrown by Carson Pace (1-0), led the 49ers to a 7-2 home-opening win over Elon (4-1) on Wednesday, February 13 at Sue M. Daughtridge Stadium.
Up and down the lineup, Charlotte's offense was on the mark, handing Elon its first loss of the season.
Seniors Lizzy Birch (3-for-3, 2 2B, 2R), Meredith Harris (2-for-3, 2 RBI, HR, 2B, R, BB) and Kiersten Berrier (2-for-4, R) each collected a multi-hit game in the dominating win.
