Charlotte, N.C. - The Charlotte 49ers and Davidson Wildcats are proud to partner with OrthoCarolina to present the 2016 Battle for the Hornets' Nest on Saturday, November 26th at 4pm. This year's game, which will be played in Davidson's John M. Belk Arena, will be the 43rd meeting between the two teams. Charlotte leads the all-time series, 28-14.
The Hornets' Nest series began in the 1979-80 season. Davidson won the 2015 Battle for the Hornets' Nest, in Charlotte's Halton Arena. Following the game, representatives from OrthoCarolina will present the Hornet's Nest trophy to the winning team.
