CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Behind a goal by and another strong defensive performance, the 14th-ranked Charlotte 49ers (5-2-1, C-USA: 5-0) won their fifth straight game to remain undefeated in Conference USA with a 1-0 win over the Florida Atlantic Owls (5-4-2, C-USA: 2-4) at Transamerica Field.
"This is a special group of young men," Charlotte coach said. "We have five players in quarantine and have only been allowed to train for six days in the last 20. But this group refuses to back down and continues to pursue our team's goals ruthlessly. It wasn't our best performance today, but we showed such heart and togetherness.
