Charlotte 49ers softball coach Ashley Chastain has announced that sophomore Mekayla Frazier (Miami, Fla. / Gulliver Preparatory) has transferred into the program from Elon. Frazier, who made 33 starts at second base for the Phoenix, batted .294 with four home runs and 18 RBI as a freshman.
Frazier was second on the team with eight multi-hit games and cracked three triples to rank second in the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA). In March, she was named CAA Rookie of the Week.
A native of Miami, Fla., Frazier was a two-time Extra Inning Softball First Team All-American and a 2019 Semper Fidelis All-American.
