CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte women's basketball dominated the second quarter to pull away and hand visiting Wisconsin a 63-48 setback Friday evening inside Halton Arena in the season opener for both squads.
It marks the seventh-straight season in which the 49ers have started a campaign 1-0, including all six under head coach . The Badgers are the first 'Power 5' league squad to fall to the Niners inside Halton Arena under Consuegra and first since Clemson was handed a 64-57 setback Jan. 4, 2010.
