CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Behind a doubles sweep and four singles wins in straight sets, the Charlotte 49ers (4-3) defeated North Carolina Wesleyan (0-1), 5-2 at Lifetime Fitness in south Charlotte.
DOUBLES
At number one doubles, Charlotte's and Ignasi De Rueda defeated North Carolina Wesleyan's Roberto Puig and John Falke, 6-2. Then, the pairing of and clinched the doubles point at number three doubles, claiming a 6-2 victory over North Carolina Wesleyan's Max Robinson and Valentin Mussi. At number two doubles, and combined to capture the doubles sweep, winning over NCW's Jhonny Acosta and Juan Vallejo by a score of 6-3.
