CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Charlotte women's soccer team will kick-off its 25th season with two matches this weekend as regular-season action around the country begins. The 49ers will play host to Longwood at 7 p.m. Friday at Transamerica Field before heading to Richmond, Virginia, for a 1 p.m. Sunday contest.
The Niners enter the regular season after a successful two-game exhibition stint in which they outscored Georgia State and Kennesaw State by a combined 9-1 ledger. Head coach John Cullen's squad was picked to place third in the Preseason Conference USA poll, announced last week.
