Charlotte, N.C. - The Charlotte 49ers (12-13) are the fifth seed in this week's Conference USA Tournament at Middle Tennessee in Murfreesboro, April 21-23. The 49ers, which are in their first season under the direction of head coach , play fourth-seed Middle Tennessee in the quarterfinals, Friday, April 21 at 3 p.m.
If the 49ers win, Charlotte plays the winner of top-seed Rice and eighth-seed UTSA in the semifinals, Saturday, April 22 at 1 p.m. The Championship match is Sunday, April 23 at Noon.
Oriol Puig Forne, who has won sixth straight matches, leads the team 22 singles wins.
