BOCA RATON, Fla. – A year after Charlotte women's soccer used a penalty kick shootout to its advantage on its run to a Conference USA Championships title, the same scenario was unable to be repeated as North Texas picked up the shootout win to earn the 2017 league crown. The two sides battled through 110 minutes scoreless before turning to the kicks to decide the final outcome.
