CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte women’s tennis used a beautiful weather day to its advantage Thursday, as it had little trouble in knocking off former Atlantic 10 foe Dayton 4-0 at the Halton-Wagner Tennis Complex. The 49ers and Flyers battled through windy conditions at times but otherwise the Niners needed barely two hours to dispose of their former league opponent in the first home match for the program in three weeks.
“We’ve been working really hard this week,” head coach Michaela Gorman said. “We’ve been practicing a little bit extra to make sure we’re ready to go when things get tight and in big pressure situations.
