Charlotte, N.C. – The Charlotte 49ers (16-13, C-USA: 10-8) are seeded fourth and have earned a first-round bye in the Air Force Reserve Conference USA Championships at The Star in Frisco, Texas. Charlotte plays the winner of the first-round game between fifth-seed FIU and 12th-seed Rice in the quarterfinals, Thursday, March 12, at 7:30 p.m ET. The game will air on Stadium on Facebook.

The Charlotte 49ers are in their second season under head coach Ron Sanchez. The 49ers have earned a first-round bye in the conference tournament for the first time since 2006.
