Niners Lose Big Lead Late in 13-10, 12-Inn. Loss

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Florida Atlantic scored 10 unanswered runs and in five of the final six innings, all after trailing by nine through six, storming back for a 13-10 win in 12 innings on Friday night. After both teams traded runs in the 11th, the Owls finished off the night with three in the 12th for the victory. Eight of FAU's 13 runs were scored with two outs. Friday's marathon took five hours and 10 minutes, almost 45 minutes longer than the 15-inning affair both teams encountered last year.

"We pretty much dominated the early part of the game" began Head Coach Loren Hibbs.
