CULLOWHEE, N.C. – Sophomore netted her second-straight game winner, finding the back of the net late in the second half, to push Charlotte over the line, 3-2, at Western Carolina Sunday afternoon in non-conference women's soccer action.
Sipprell, who went scoreless during her freshman campaign as the 49ers reached the NCAA Tournament after winning the Conference USA Championships title last fall, has created a boost to the lineup this season. She has started all six games thus far, the first half-dozen starts of her career.
The Matthews native struck Sunday at 75:02, growing the Charlotte (3-3) lead to two at that point before the 49ers held on late despite surrendering a later counter from the homestanding Catamounts.
