DALLAS – Charlotte women's tennis learned of its first round of postseason award winners Monday afternoon, as Conference USA has selected two members of the 49ers to its all-conference singles teams. Freshman Margaux Maquet and junior Rocio Safont were each tabbed to the 2019-20 All-Conference USA Singles Second Team.
FRESHMAN MAKES HER MARK
Maquet, an Ath, Belgium, product made quite the impression in her inaugural collegiate campaign. It started in the fall with her leading the squad with 12 tournament victories, including eight in a row. Her first semester was highlighted when she advanced to the Round of 16 at the ITA Carolina Regional, defeating opponents form Davidson, Furman, Furman and North Carolina State along the way.
