KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Charlotte 49ers men's soccer program earned the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award. The men's soccer team joined the Niners' women's program as honorees, making Charlotte one of 183 schools across all NCAA divisions to have both squads recognized.
The Team Academic Award recognizes teams with a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or better for the academic year.
As a team, the 49ers had a 3.26 GPA for the 2019-20 academic year. It marks the fourth time in the program's history that the 49ers have earned the award.
