BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Charlotte softball (18-14, 2-7 C-USA) dropped its Sunday contest with UAB (12-19, 4-2 C-USA), falling 9-2 at Mary Bowers Field in Birmingham.
Freshman Jordan Amerson recorded her first multi-hit day of her career, going 2-for-3, and sophomore Bailey Rhoney went 2-for-2 with a run. Classmate Haley Pace and freshman Meredith Harris each collected doubles, while Harris scored the other 49ers run.
The Blazers attacked first, plating a run in the first inning off an error and sacrifice fly.
Charlotte responded their next at bat, when freshman Meredith Harris worked a full count before launching a double off the left center wall.
