Charlotte, N.C. - Goals from Maclean Holbrook, Teddy Chaouche, and Jake Gusler helped the Charlotte 49ers (9-3-1) defeat USC Upstate (3-10-1), 3-0, Tuesday night at home. With the win tonight, Charlotte has now won six straight games at Transamerica Field. The 49ers wore yellow jerseys for Pediatric Cancer Awareness. The jerseys were auctioned off after the game and all the proceeds are going to the Levine Children's Hospital.
"It took us a while to get settled into the game," said Charlotte 49ers head coach Kevin Langan. "The second half was much better. I thought we looked pretty secure at the back and threatening going forward.
