Niners Capture Multiple Flight Titles in Durham

CHAPEL HILL/DURHAM, N.C. – Charlotte women's tennis wrapped up play at the NCCU Invitational in Durham by claiming three total flight titles, two in singles and one in doubles, to highlight the 49ers on the courts Friday. The Niners also had a pair of players competing in nearby Chapel Hill at the ITA Carolina Regional presented by Oracle during the split weekend.

In the Maroon singles flight, it was an all-Charlotte final after junior Pierina Imparato and freshman Tahlia van der Eerden each picked up semifinal victories. Imparato handed North Carolina A&T's Fabriana Ramirez a 6-1, 6-4 setback, while van der Eerden disposed of Campbell's Pauline Roustan 6-3, 6-2 to fill out the other half of the bracket.
