CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Charlotte softball (20-15) looks to bounce back this week, beginning a five-game road slate Wednesday when the team faces Furman (18-19) in Greenville, S.C., at Pepsi Softball Stadium with games at 4 and 6 p.m.
The 49ers are coming off their off weekend from league action, and went 2-1 last week after sweeping a Tuesday twinbill with Winthrop before dropping a 13-2 contest to South Carolina on Wednesday.
Sophomore Haley Pace carries a hot bat into the Wednesday doubleheader, leading the squad in batting average (.355), homeruns (5), RBI (29), and hits (39).
