IRVING, Texas – Charlotte's T.J. Nichting has been named Conference USA's "Co-Hitter of the Week" after leading the way hitting .550 in a 4-1 week for the 49ers. Monday marks the second-straight week a Niner has earned the award after Jackson Mims took the honor last week.
The senior started with two hits that included a double, RBI, run scored and stolen base in a tough 5-4 loss at #4 South Carolina on Tuesday. To begin the four-game weekend series vs. Rider on Friday, the senior picked up another hit and drew a walk in a 4-2 come-from-behind win.
