CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Tied 6-6 with two outs in the bottom of the ninth, Charlotte sophomore Brett Netzer took a 2-2 pitch and crushed it over the wall in right sending the 49ers to a 7-6 victory over Wake Forest on Wednesday night at Hayes Stadium. Netzer's home run was the first of his career.
“We didn’t play well in the first three or four innings, but I’m proud of the comeback against a really good team,” stated Head Coach Loren Hibbs. “Netzer count a two-strike pitch that was down in the zone and put a good swing on it.
