HUMBLE, Texas – Charlotte's Conor Purcell led the 49ers men's golf team on Saturday finishing round one with an even par 72 before backing that with a one-under 71 at the All-American Intercollegiate presented by Coca Cola just outside of Houston.
Matty Lamb, along with Purcell, each led the Niners in round one starting Friday and finishing Saturday morning with a pair of even par 72's. Lamb opened with a birdie on one and needed one more on eight to make the turn at one-over par. On the back, Lamb started the second nine as he did the first with a birdie on 10 before another birdie on 15 wrapped up his opening 18.
