JONESBOROUGH, Tenn. – Charlotte golf started off in red figures but fell to 295 sitting in a tie for 13th after round one of the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate. Seth Gandy led the 49ers with an even-par round of 72 on Friday.
Gandy opened with a birdie on the par-five fourth before giving the shot back on the par-five eighth making the turn at 36. On the back, Gandy did the same trading a birdie four on the par-five 14th with a bogey four on the 228-yard par three.
James Medley and Conor Purcell each put together rounds of 74 (+2) in Friday's opening round.
