KANNAPOLIS, N.C. – The Charlotte 49ers men's golf team finds themselves tied for ninth after 36 holes of their own Irish Creek Intercollegiate at The Club at Irish Creek. The Niners shaved five shots off from round one to two.
In a field filled with top-50 teams, #44 Kennesaw State leads overnight at 11-under while #31 Florida State and #42 North Florida needed 11-under second rounds to get to within striking distance. Charlotte posted rounds of 289 and 284 (+5) on Saturday.
Matty Lamb led the 49ers in round one with an even par 71.
