TEXARKANA, Ark. – For the second-straight year, the Charlotte 49ers men's golf team suffered another heartbreaking defeat falling to Middle Tennessee in Conference USA Match Play, 3-2. Last season, the Blue Raiders narrowly survived by the same 3-2 count in last year's semifinal.
"I'm extremely proud of these guys and their effort this week," started Head Coach Ryan Cabbage. "We hit some marvelous golf shots this week, especially coming down the stretch in stroke play. I felt like we were in complete control up until the final two-and-a-half holes today. Give credit to Middle Tennessee as they hit some magnificent shots and made a long putt when they absolutely had to late in the match.
