CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte men's golf finished round one of the Jerry Pate National in tenth before making the climb up three spots ending day one in seventh place overall.
ROUND ONE
Marc Boucher and Dongjin Park led the way in round one with a 69 (-1) and 72 (+2). The duo combined for five birdies on the day with Boucher earning three. Carson Ownbey and John Gough rounded out team scoring in a rainy opening round as Ownbey converted three birdies in his 76 (+6) with Gough knocking down his first of two eagles on the par four sixth in a 77 (+7).
