CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte men’s golf is one of eight teams to shoot under par as a team in round one of the 2016 Linger Longer Invitational in Greensboro, Georgia. Led by Victor Wiggins, the 49ers sit seventh overall after a three-under day of 285 golf. The 13-team field includes six ranked teams including #2 Georgia who sits in 11th after day one.
Wiggins is in a tie for seventh overall as an individual following his opening round 69 (-3). The junior would card six birdies on the day beginning with three on the front nine, including back-to-back on the par-four fifth and par-five sixth, to post an even par front side of 36.
