INDEPENDENCE, Minn. – Charlotte golf began the year with a tie for ninth at the 2016 Gopher Invitational hosted by Minnesota. The 49ers improved their overall round scores each day climbing up one final spot on Sunday.
"Overall, it wasn't a bad weekend," began Head Coach Ryan Cabbage. "We hit some really quality golf shots on a hard golf course. We made some knucklehead mistakes that we need to learn from, but there are a lot of things that will come from this weekend."
Conor Purcell led the Niners in round three firing a one-under round of 70 on Sunday.
