KANNAPOLIS, N.C. – The Charlotte 49ers men's golf wrapped up their Irish Creek Intercollegiate with an eighth place finish on Sunday afternoon. Matty Lamb paced the Niners at The Club at Irish Creek with a one-under 70 on Sunday to finish one-under for the event.
"We just weren't able to execute the shots that we needed to enough times this weekend," began Head Coach Ryan Cabbage. "The guys played hard and fought through some adversity that they faced. Unfortunately, we just self-imposed that adversity a few too many times this weekend."
Lamb began his three-birdie day on the par-five 14th and a birdie three on the tough 16th hole sent him back to even for the day.
