Charlotte, N.C. - The Charlotte 49ers Department of Athletics had two teams receive the NCAA Public Recognition Award, based on the NCAA Division I Academic Progress Rate (APR). There most recent APRs are multi-year rates based on scores from the 2011-12, 2012-13, 2013-14 and 2014-15 academic years. The NCAA named Charlotte’s men’s cross country and men's tennis teams among the programs with outstanding numbers.
“It's great to see our student-athletes being recognized for continued achievement in the classroom and for the culture of academic excellence that we have at Charlotte,” said Lisa Hibbs, Athletic Academic Center Director.
