BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Charlotte men's and women's programs earned second place overall team finishes at the 2019 Air Force Reserve Conference USA Indoor Track and Field Championships from the Birmingham Crossplex in Birmingham, Ala. on Sunday, February 17.
In the second day of competition, Charlotte had freshman Riley Felts and Kyra Atkins represent the 49ers on top of the podium winning their respective events.
Felts became the individual champion in the women's pole vault, earning the gold with her mark of 3.96m (12' 11.75"), a new Charlotte record. Felts took home the top prize after by winning a jump off, claiming 10 team points for the 49ers.
