CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Charlotte track and field senior Trey McRae continues his impressive start to the 2016 outdoor season, claiming Conference USA Field Athlete of the Week honors, the league announced Tuesday.
McRae, a two-time All-American, took first in the high jump at the Raleigh Relays this past weekend, breaking a 16-year old school record (held by three-time All-American Will Mongtomery), a six-year old meet record, and 16-year old facility record with his personal best leap of 2.25m.
The jump ranks McRae first in the country in the event. The next best mark is at least .
