Senior Trae McRae made a huge jump in his quest for NCAA gold this past week. He qualified for the NCAA Track and Field Championship during the preliminaries in Jacksonville, FL. Though other 49ers competed in the preliminaries, they fell short of qualifying.
McRae continued his stellar season by recording the highest mark in the high jump with a 2.17m jump. He also will be able to compete in the long jump event with a 7.55m jump.
Barely missing the cut for Eugene was All-American Anthony Campbell. He finished 15th in the triple jump with a 15.
