Charlotte, N.C. -- Charlotte 49ers quarterback Lee McNeill has been named to the 2016 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic all-District 3 team and will land on the ballot for CoSIDA Academic all-America honors. McNeill, who was the 49ers starting QB in 2015 and is one of nine 49ers that has played in every game in the program's four-year history, graduated with 3.98 undergraduate GPA as a Business Management major. He is pursuing his MBA and currently owns a 4.0 GPA through summer courses.
The 2016 Conference USA Scholar-Athlete of the Year in Football, McNeill becomes the first 49ers football player to earn CoSIDA Academic all-District honors.
