DENTON, Texas - Charlotte's offense came alive in game two and got a great game in the circle from Lauren Riley, after North Texas shut Charlotte out in the first contest Saturday at Lovelace Stadium.
Charlotte (7-12, 1-1 C-USA) pounded out 10 hits in game two, including two-run home runs by Haley Pace and Jude McGough.
"Offense came alive in game two," Head Coach Aimee DeVos said. "We got clutch hitting throughout the order."
The Mean Green (9-9, 1-1 C-USA) led 4-0 after one inning, but the 49ers cut the deficit to one after scoring a solo run in the second and adding two more in the third.
