Reigning Conference USA Offensive Player of the Year Martha Thomas is looking to find more success this year. She was named a team captain as a junior and the C-USA Preseason Offensive Player of the Year.
With nine freshmen on the team, the captain leadership is important. Thomas said she wants to instill leadership on the team to help them all become leaders.
Head Coach John Cullen said she is not a cocky leader, rather she leads by example. With the other two captains being seniors, Cullen said it is vital to bring Thomas back for her senior year as a captain.
