Freshman Malik Martin comes from the quintessential basketball family.
Martin is the middle of seven children, all of which are boys and all of which play basketball. His three older brothers all played collegiately, and while two have since entered the work force, one is still playing professionally overseas.
It was his family ties that got the 6-foot-6 freshman into the game.
"I started playing basketball probably when I was about five," Martin said. "Just growing up watching them play taught me a lot, I just fell in love with the game watching them play.
