Charlotte, N.C. – Behind two goals by Tommy Madden and a strong all-around team performance, the Charlotte 49ers blanked the High Point Panthers, 2-0, in their first exhibition game.
"We've been waiting since last November for this game," Charlotte coach Kevin Langan said. "We did lots of things very well tonight. We looked very strong in the back, very organized, very committed, and had great fitness levels. We are right where we thought we would be. We just have to sharpen the tools a little bit going forward with our types of passes and runs.
