When it comes to Charlotte women's tennis, it's hard to look past the qualities of one of their leaders, senior Macy Vonderschmidt. With her 'lead by example' approach, she has helped pave the way for her teammates and peers to carry on the pride and traditions of women's tennis at Charlotte. A highly- touted recruit coming out of high school in McKinney, Texas, she understands the levels of competition throughout the country and what it takes to make it to the next level.
"Texas was the third-best state in the country, along with Florida and California, so the competition was pretty good.
