Charlotte, N.C. - won his singles match and the duo of and won their doubles match but the Charlotte 49ers (1-1) fell to 16th-ranked South Carolina (3-0), 6-1, at Lifetime Fitness.
"I'm proud of the guys," Charlotte head coach said. "They competed really well today. Before the weekend started, we talked about trying to have great energy, compete hard and have no holes on the court. I felt like the guys did a great job of that today. We were competitive in every single match. We were able to get ourselves into a position where we could see what happens when you play a really good team and you get to that really tough part of the match.
