Charlotte 49ers head coach Brad Lambert has announced the hiring of former Oklahoma State Defensive Coordinator Glenn Spencer to the same position. Spencer has over 25 years of collegiate coaching experience, including 18 at the FBS level. He has been a part of 12 FBS Bowl Games.
In addition to Spencer's hiring, Lambert announced that Special Teams Coordinator Charlie Skalaski has been named Receivers Coach, as well. Skalaski has coached receivers at three previous stops: as Associate Head Coach at Eastern Kentucky; as Assistant to the Head Coach at the NFL's Jacksonville Jaguars and during a 10-year run at Liberty.
